WILDLIFE OFFICERS FOUNDATION

PROTECTING THOSE WHO PROTECT OUR RESOURCES

HISTORY

THE MISSION OF THE CALIFORNIA WILDLIFE OFFICERS FOUNDATION IS TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL BENEFITS AND CITIZEN SUPPORT TO CALIFORNIA WILDLIFE OFFICERS AND THEIR FAMILIES.

CalWOF was officially incorporated in February 2007 by a visionary group of Californians who understand Game Wardens are the first and often the only line of enforcement for the myriad laws that protect California's diverse wildlife and natural resources.

Their goal was to create an organization that could unite varied interest groups, from outdoorsmen and women to environmental organizations and the public at large, to answer the question of how everyone who appreciates California's outdoor resources and wildlife can support our Game Wardens and the critical work they do.

In early 2008, CalWOF reached its first fundraising goal of $1 million enabling it to award its first $13,000 in scholarships to 12 children and one spouse of Game Wardens in August of that year. Since then, CalWOF has issued grants of over $400,000. With your support, we can continue to positively impact the Wildlife Officers of this great state.
